My first bottled memories were shaped in spaces designed with love: picking snow peas in my grandparents’ garden, standing on a stool in the warmth of the kitchen, learning to peel and stir with my nana by my side. Following our session, you’ll receive a follow-up pack including a custom moodboard, written design insights, and a clear project guideline, so you can move forward with confidence and clarity.

A story & style-led session to refine what matters most (all within one meeting)
I’ll visit your space (or connect with you virtually) to learn about your story, lifestyle, and what matters most to you. We’ll talk through the moments you want to create, where you’re feeling unsure, and what’s currently missing.
Within a week after our session, you’ll receive a refined moodboard to anchor your vision, along with a written design summary and example project guideline. These are designed to give you conceptual clarity around how bespoke joinery could support your space and evolve with your story
Receive a personalised moodboard and well written design direction
You’ll leave with a solid foundation of insights, ideas, and grounded support, and a calm understanding of what’s worth addressing now, what can wait, and what truly matters most.

Hi, I’m Ally - Designer and Heart behind Reverie
With a background in bespoke cabinetry and spatial design, I bring a thoughtful, grounded approach to joinery - one that blends form, feeling, and everyday function.
My love for design began in my grandparents’ kitchen, perched on a stool, peeling snow peas and soaking up every treasured moment. That space wasn’t just beautiful, it was built for connection, love and memory-making.
Today, I help others create that same feeling in their own homes - alongside me is my husband Nathan, a joiner who brings a steady, supportive presence behind the scenes. Together, we believe joinery should be more than just beautiful; it should be deeply personal.
The First Pour was created to give homeowners a calm, clear starting point. A space to explore what’s possible without any pressure, to feel supported by someone who genuinely listens.
How the First Pour Works
Step 1:
Discovery Call
We begin with a complimentary 15minute discovery call. This is a relaxed conversation where we get a chance to connect - I’ll introduce myself, learn a little about your home, and we’ll explore whether the first pour feels like the right next step for you.
If it feels aligned, we’ll then book your in-home decision or Zoom call and take things from there.
Step 2:
Conversations in Your Space
Led by me, we’ll walk through your kitchen or joinery space together and talk through what’s feeling unclear. We’ll unpack your lifestyle, your ideas, and the story you want your home to tell.
I’ll share honest design insights on the spot, talk through what’s possible, and help bring clarity to your next step, so you can move forward feeling confident and informed.
Step 3:
Design Direction & Support
Within a week, you’ll receive your personalised design pack, including:
A moodboard that reflects the vision; your story and style
A written summary outlining your design direction
A simple project guideline what’s involved if you choose to move forward
Step 4:
Pause & Wait
With new found clarity, confidence, and a grounded sense of direction, there is no pressure to commit beyond this session - just thoughtful foundation and space to explore what’s possible
You can choose to continue working with me on your project, or simply take the next step as you see fits.

Through the Discovery Call: A complimentary 15-minute discovery call is a relaxed conversation to connect, talk through your space, and see whether The First Pour feels right with where you’re at. From there, you can decide whether you’d like to move forward with the experience.

Yes. The First Pour can be a valuable second set of eyes, offering clarity, refinement, and reassurance before you commit to manufacturing or construction.

In-home sessions are available across the North Shore in Auckland. If you’re outside this area, a travel fee may apply, or we can connect via Zoom which works beautifully for this experience too.

The session typically runs for 60–90 minutes. It’s unhurried, collaborative, and designed to explore both your space and your story in a meaningful way

That’s absolutely an option! If you choose to move forward, your investment in The First Pour is credited toward your full design project. You won’t be starting again, we’ll simply build from the foundation we’ve already created.

The investment is $450 NZD + GST. This includes your 1:1 session (in-home or via Zoom), site measure (if applicable), a personalised moodboard, written design direction, and guidance to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
If you later proceed into a full design package, the full amount is credited toward your project!

A 50% deposit is required to secure your session, with the remaining balance due once your design direction is delivered. This helps ensure the time, care, and consideration going into your project is respected and allows us both to plan with ease
