From the beginning, it was clear that Church Street was a deeply loved home for my client, but they also knew it was time for a refined update to breathe new life into their Devonport home. What initially began as a simple re-facing of the existing cabinetry quickly evolved into a full reno, with complete demo of the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry.

The overall vision was to honour the heritage of the home, while introducing a modern twist. This approach allowed us to completely turn the kitchen on its head, creating a brand-new layout that better supports how their family lives and entertains. A key feature was the custom table I designed, seamlessly attached to the island, creating a social and entertaining hub.

Traditional patterned doors and soft whites are harmonised with contemporary elements such as deep ebony timbers, gunmetal accents and sleek handless cabinetry. The result is an elegant, fresh and moody home, which is rich in texture, layered with contrast.
